Eine Stückentwicklung frei nach den Lebensgeschichten der Dionne-Fünflinge. Mit Live-Kamera, Pappe und Kleinteilen.
Am 28. Mai 1934 nimmt im kanadischen Corbeil eine Weltsensation ihren Anfang. Elzire Dionne bringt fünf eineiige Mädchen zur Welt. Ein Priester wird zur letzten Ölung herbeigerufen, doch gegen jede Erwartungen überleben Yvonne, Annette, Cécile, Emilie und Marie Dionne. Sie werden den Eltern entwendet und im eigens für sie geschaffenen Quintland zwei Mal am Tag einem Millionenpublikum vorgeführt. In dem von der Außenwelt abgeschirmten Mikrokosmos aus Desinfektionsmittel, durchgetakteten Tagesabläufen, Fototerminen und niedlichen Kleidern wachsen die Quints zu einer Einheit gehorsamer, verunsicherter Frauen heran, bis diese Einheit einen Riss bekommt.
Lina Mareike Wolfram und Seth Tietze studierten Zeitgenössische Puppenspielkunst und Sofie Neu Dramaturgie an der HfS Ernst Busch Berlin.

A play based on the life stories of the Dionne quintuplets. With live camera, cardboard and small parts.
On May 28, 1934, a world sensation takes place in Corbeil, Canada. Elzire Dionne gives birth to five identical girls. A priest is called in for the last rites, but against all expectations, Yvonne, Annette, Cécile, Emilie and Marie Dionne survive. They are taken away from their parents and presented to an audience of millions twice a day in Quintland, which was created especially for them. In a microcosm shielded from the outside world and made up of disinfectant, daily routines, photo shoots and cute dresses, the Quints grow into a unit of obedient, insecure women until this unity is torn apart.
Lina Mareike Wolfram and Seth Tietze studied contemporary puppetry and Sofie Neu dramaturgy at the HfS Ernst Busch Berlin.

In this play with architecture, gender and domesticity, no wall remains where it was. In a duet, people and pop-up rooms unfold Gertrude Stein’s “Rooms” between floors and walls, with doors and hinges.
Jo Posenenske studies puppet theater in Stuttgart. ZIMMER | ROOMS is Jo’s bachelor production.
